Speed NB10 safely

It’s important to note that necro requires speed tuning so that your slow debuffs go on the last turn. And if actually possible, the strongest and most paper nuker to go at the last turn instead.

Teshar – the most valuable with 33% dungeon crit to allow slightly above 60% crit for the other attackers. Also, with a strong single target nuke with 2 turns cooldown along with tempest that does not go on cooldown while clearing waves. She’s by far the best AOE to go for NB10. Other Substitutes include Lushen (Best to be on vampire unless you have about 18k hp excluding towers or leader skill), Julie (Vampire).
She’s my fastest attacking unit to just clear the crystals and leave the attacking of the golems by the liches and fire harpy to clear up with their multihits focusing on 2 or 3 units.

Lucasha – My next mover that can clear the 2 remaining golems on the first stage with her 3rd skill. She’s also there for the defense break before the liches move. Her skill 3 is a 6 hit that depletes the boss’ shield counter in essentially just her turn. Take note of her low tankiness and thus MUST be built on hp cd atk.

Fuco – 3rd attacker to move. Slow debuff and the defense break is so valuable for the run. He is definitely more tanky than Rigel and thus I have him move first so that Rigel has the largest chance of being stolen if not teshar (when slow debuff lands and teshar gets to lightning nova the boss)

Rigel – Last to move as above reasons.

Colleen – Multihit, attack drop, heal block (though not as important in speed clear) and heal with attack buff! I rune her shield revenge just to give my units a little more survivability from reflection damage and the miniboss that can wreck havoc if the 2nd skill’s hits lands all on one monster. Attack drop reduces that damage and any of my monster can survive with at least 30% hp even if all hits with defense break lands on one. I don’t recommend any substitutes to her. For faster but less safe runs, Hwahee or Wolyung would be the ones to replace her.

As a rule of thumb, accuracy is best above 45% but as these are my subpar runes and achievable by many of you out there, I’ve settled with whatever I could harness.

Other teams that you can run are:
1) Rigel/Fuco (can replace slot 4 or 5 if you’re using another)
2) Colleen/Hwahee
3) Adrian/Chilling (Adrian preferred)
4) Lucasha/Raoq
5) Any AOE

Speed Dragon B10 with perna

Perna heals your entire team by 10% excluding hers, 44% Dungeon attack and also great damage to boot. She will definitely speed up your runs really quick. Her heals can be a safety net at the last stage for your team to survive one more turn. At the end, she can revive and provide that last bit of damage you may need to take down the boss when your team wipes.

Team (By turn order)
1) Galleon – Fastest mover for buff and AOE defense break. A staple in speed db10 that needs no introduction
2) Kahli – 2nd Fastest mover. You may think that her buff overlaps with galleon and why waste? On most occasions, she will be a back up attack buffer when galleon doesn’t have his time to loot. And usually at the miniboss, galleon may simply go for S1 or S2 and then kahli would definitely have her buff up if you count the turns taken for her to cooldown from stage 1. Her ignore defense does really high damage on the last stage when immunity is up.
3) Hwa/Stella/Theomars – Strong single target nukes that provide utility such as attack bar decrease, brand, defense break and they scale on attack speed too. They would provide either extra damage or an attack bar reduction to the mini boss to prevent him from using fiery breath.
4) Perna – Interchangeable with slot 3. She can also be replaced with other attackers such as stella, theomars, tarq, yaku, and even ellena, the water high elemental.
5) Verdehile – The last to move so as to give your entire team the attack bar boost. For me, he’s runed crit damage with enough damage to one shot the crystals with attack buff and defense break on S1.

All in all, the entire team should have slightly more than 180 spd in total for greater success rates. As for the turns taken, it would require experimentation due to the difference in runes to allow galleon to use his time to loot nicely.

If you need any assistance in building your own db10 speed team, feel free to post your monsters’ list on the comments section.

Speed GB10 safely

  1. Galleon – The fastest mover in your team, self explanatory.
  2. Lushen x2 – The fastest AOE attackers in your team to clear waves fast. They must be able to 1 hit with amputation magic without attack buff for at least wave 1,2,4.
  3. Teshar/Lagmaron/Taor/AOE – Just to clear up when the lushens derp. Preferably faster than your bruiser (unfortunately mine isn’t)
  4. Laika/Xingzhe/Bruiser – There are rare times where the giant wipes your paper monsters off, your bruiser will be able to still take down the boss albeit giving you a much slower end time. The build for galleon need not be violent but attack is really important for him to be able to contribute to decreasing the boss’ HP.

As you can see, lushens may not use their amputation magic when they are supposed to, resulting in galleon not using time to loot at the final stage. Mishaps can happen but these bruisers will be there just in case things go awry.

May 2017 HOH: Karl Review

Com2us is pretty generous with giving this guy instead of ninetails or succubus.
Let us take a look at his skills first.

Leader Skill Attack Power (Low) Icon
Leader Skill (Awakened): Increases the Attack Power of ally monsters by 25%.
Combat Knife (Dark)
190% x2
Combat Knife: Swings a dagger to attack the enemy 2 times and subsequently increases your Attack Power for 2 turns.
  • Lv.2 Damage +5%
  • Lv.3 Damage +5%
  • Lv.4 Damage +10%
  • Lv.5 Damage +15%
Relentless Strike (Dark)
570%
Relentless Strike: Increases the Critical Rate for 2 turns and instantly attacks an enemy with a powerful strike. (Reusable in 3 turns)
  • Lv.2 Damage +5%
  • Lv.3 Damage +5%
  • Lv.4 Damage +10%
  • Lv.5 Damage +10%
Piercing Dagger (Dark)
770%
Piercing Dagger: Performs an attack that ignores all damage reduction effects. This attack is guaranteed to land as a Critical Attack. (Reusable in 5 turns)
  • Lv.2 Damage +10%
  • Lv.3 Damage +10%
  • Lv.4 Cooltime Turn -1
  • Lv.5 Cooltime Turn -1

He gets his own attack buff S1, crit buff S2 and a sure crit high multiplier on his S3! The only downside is that he does not get a defense break debuff. He has a decent base speed of 107 which really helps alot.

Where can you use him?
1) Guild wars: Counters Khmun, Chloe, Woosa, Emma, etc.
2) World arena: Olivia? Bastet? Woosa? He counters them all.

What runes?
1) Violent will give you a self buffing machine and possibly following up after an attack
2) Vampire will build him just as how trevor is built. His skill 3 does so much damage that he can potentially recover fully in one strike.
3) Rage will give him the maximum damage output.

Recommended stats to have would be about +40 speed if he’s a solo player and speed tuned to your attack bar booster if you were to use him to follow up on world arena or guild wars. Crit damage even with low crit works as his S3 is only 3 turns CD when maxed, allowing it to reuse it very often.

Elemental Raids SSS

Since now that we have more to do with elemental raids and the new homunculus is coming soon, here are some tips for you to score above S in auto, and even SSS. Here are the monsters that I use but you can replace them with anyone who can fit the same role.
*Requires decent rune quality

1) Fire
Front: Xiaolin Poseidon
Back: Fire Homun (brand + eruption), Hwahee, Theomars, Sigmarius
You’ll require 2 water units with about 1k defense in the front, 2 AOE attackers with a minimum speed of 180 in total to ensure that you clear the mini bombs all the time, branding effect for extra damage, attack leader, 2 defense breaker, healer with attack buff (chasun, wolyung, hwahee).

2) Water
Front: Chasun Lagmaron
Back: Lushen Xiaolin Stella/Hraesvelg Theomars
You’ll require 2 wind units of at least 1.2k defense in the front, all to be above 220 speed if you’re not using an attack bar booster, branding effect for extra damage, and chasun (other stronger healers like praha, ariel, rakaja works but hraesvelg is needed for attack buff), 2 defense breaker.

3) Wind
Front: Perna Chasun
Back: Hwahee Lagmaron Theomars Fire Homun (brand + eruption)
Preferably 2 fire units of at least 1.2k defense in the front. My chasun is tanky enough and perna has two lives so I am able to leave it that way. It is good to have decent speeds of about 180. A minimum of 2 strong healers that is based on attack or HP. Strong heals such as rakaja or praha works and the healing buff from ariel or pandas are useful as well. Branding effect for extra damage.

4) Light
Front: Perna Chasun
Back: Xiaolin Lagmaron Theomars Fire Homun (brand + eruption)
One healer with attack buff such as Chasun or Hwahee is enough. Strong single hitting monsters are the way to go such as Squall, Nova, Justice. Branding effect for extra damage. Preferably 2 units with at least 1.2k defense in the front.

5) Dark
Front: Xiaolin Perna
Back: Hwahee Theomars Lagmaron Fire Homun (brand + eruption)
A little tricky here, it’s either you have the monsters and runes to make it or you don’t attempt this way at all. The approach here is a full nuke of the entire boss’ health bar (about 450k) through raw damage. Remember that he will imprison a random frontline monster. Perna and Xiaolin does less damage on the boss’ angry state compared to the rest and thus I left them in front. The rest of my monsters will proceed in nuking down the boss. I would only recommend Hwahee or Chasun as your healer and attack buffer.
Branding effect for extra damage.

F2P B10 Giants Team

The monsters:
1) Sigmarius (Lead) – 44% HP lead for increase survivability. Her damage output is pretty decent and probably the best in the F2P section.

2) Veromos – Cleanse, Continuous Damage and Stun. Defense break on your team can cause a wipeout and cleansing helps. On high speed, he can deal decent damage on Skill 1 and inflict DOT.

3) Bernard – Keeps your team moving. The armor break and attack drop will allow you to inflict more damage and reduce the damage received by your team.

4) Megan/Shannon – Attack buff and Defense buff to give you more damage and to receive less damage from the boss.
Megan can remove and block the attack buff of the boss as well as inflict continuous damage
Shannon can inflict glancing and slow debuffs.
One benefit of Megan is that the runs are faster due to her damage output as well as Shannon slowing the boss which makes continuous damage take into effect slower.
However, Shannon will provide you with 100% success rate with her glancing, slow and permanent defense buff.

5) Belladeon – Reliable defense breaker as well as a healer.
Speed is not a huge deal in giants due to the low speed of the boss but it is essential to have about a total of 200 speed for your supports to keep your team moving on the other stages.

Rina, the queen of GWO

I utilise Rina for almost every guild war possible. Her shield is always up and hardly breaks when there are wind attackers (and water). For this, she is exceptionally useful against the likes of Fengyan, Xingzhe, Camilla (with 2 other wind monsters) etc. I even use her to tank searas! Her build is on destroy, energy, guard. She’s able to solo Chows, Camillas, Beast monks, Ariels etc. after she has worn out their HP through destroy.

Dragons B10 without verdehile

Things to note:
1) The speed of the dragon is about 115.
2) Therefore, veromos, your only cleanser would require twice the speed to cleanse efficiently. For mine, it would be 100 * 115% (tower) + 100. It would be best if you could achieve 230 speed total for your veromos. With the addition of bernard’s speed buff, 30% attack bar boost and megan’s 20% attack bar boost, veromos should constantly cleanse and keep your team safe.

Explanation of the team:
1) Sigmarius (Lead) – 44% HP lead gives you a huge boost to your tankiness. She would also be your main damage dealer. Violent would be a good set otherwise fatal, swift or even broken sets that can achieve a speed higher than 115 would be sufficient.
Other alternatives could include Theomars, Hwa, other damaging monsters that you have.

2) Veromos (HP lead in the abscence of Sigmarius) – Staple cleanser. He stuns and provides continuous damage. At 230 speed, he is able to do a fairly decent amount of damage as well. Violent is not necessary.

3) Bernard – A replacement for verdehile. His presence provide attack bar and speed buff that keeps your team going. Speed buff also gives veromos, hwa, theomars an increase in damage as well.

4) Megan – Attack buff can speed up your runs while Defense buffs makes stage 3 and 5 really safe as seen in the video. Her attack bar boost along with bernard keeps your team going and allowing veromos to cleanse before the dragon’s breath. Removal of immunity is also important to keep your runs fast.

5) Belladeon – Defense break, Buff removal and an AOE heal. His heal is sufficient with defense buff, and it is important to keep his speed high above +100 if possible for more turns before the dragon moves. It is seen that violent is not necessary for belladeon. His buff removal with Megan provides constant removal of the immunity buff of the dragon as well.

For other team compositions specifically for your monsters, leave a comment with your monster box and I’ll try to address it! 🙂

Many ask what are the essential unknown scroll monsters to progress in SW and up the dungeon floors. I have always written this list for my friends who are first starting out in SW. Here’s a list:
Nat 2
1) Ramagos (Wind warbear)
The unit that returns his lost HP all onto one enemy. He’s useful in PVP aspects as well as a slow but reliable farmer in Hydeni/Aiden. His attack bar decrease on the first skill may prove useful in giants and dragons as well. My suggestion is to get the 5* Energy rune set from the completion of Chiruka Remains to be equipped on him for the best HP stat you can get in a long while. Vampire Energy/Nemesis would be an option as you progress in the game to return the health lost.
2) Konamiya (Water Garuda)
Probably the only cleanser, healer, attack buff, turn giver and stunner you will get in a long while. He will prove useful in Giants (defense debuff, attack drop, stun, slow), Dragons (continuous damage), Hall of Fire and Dark and in PVP. The recommended rune set for him would be Swift Energy/Guard/Broken at the start and progressing on to Violent as you farm dragons. He is then used in end game content such as rifts and PVP.
3) Colleen (Fire Harpu)
Attack drop, heal block, heal and a 3 turn attack buff. She definitely complements well with attack based units as well as provide healing for your team. She will prove useful in almost any aspect of the game especially in Necropolis and Raids end game. Swift Energy/Revenge would be the optimal set and progressing to Violent Revenge for necropolis.
4) Shannon (Wind Pixie)
A 3 turn Attack+Defense Buff along with glancing and AOE Slow. She will be the best support with additional defensive capabilities for your team. The Glancing and Slow Debuffs are extremely valuable in the face of giants due to their high damage and low attack speed. She also has a good typing against the water giant in B10. Swift would be the best rune set for her as she should be the first monster to buff your entire team along with her impressive base speed of 111.

Starter’s pack to progress

Fatal or Rage?

Age old question since SW began.
Fatal (increases the base attack stat by 35%)
Rage (increases the crit damage stat by 40%)

If the damage is based on HP/DEF:
It is obvious that the choice goes to rage.

If the damage is based on ATK:
Fatal or Rage!?

The answer to that will be answered with this formula:
Damage = [Total Attack Stat with Attack Building] x [100% + Crit Damage + CD Building + Element Damage Building] x [Attack Buff] x [Skill Multiplier]
without the consideration of the opponent’s defense.

The rune set that you can achieve the highest damage from would be the choice. Of course, if you fail to crit the opponent, fatal would do a higher damage solely on pure damage output.

Therefore, I have my first lushen and pungbaek on rage whereas my second lushen and katarina on fatal as long as I have the max damage output.
